Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Propally when you use our software.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you create a Propally account or use the service. If you sign up on behalf of an agency or business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Accounts

  • Landlords and agencies create accounts directly. Tenants and team members get access by invitation.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity under your account and your team's accounts.
  • Information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.

3. Free trial

New accounts start with a free trial. The length is shown when you sign up. You can use the service during the trial without being charged. To keep using it after the trial ends, you need an active paid subscription.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in South African rand through PayFast, starting when your trial ends.
  • Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change.
  • Plan changes take effect as described on the Billing page when you make the change.
  • If a payment fails, we may limit access to your account until it is resolved.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are not refundable unless the law requires otherwise.

6. Your data

You own the information you put into Propally, including property, lease and tenant records. You are responsible for having a lawful basis under POPIA to load and use your tenants' personal information. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to export or delete your data.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful, including unlawful evictions or discrimination against tenants.
  • Do not send spam or misleading messages to tenants through the service.
  • Do not try to access other organisations' data, disrupt the service or get around its security.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Availability

We work to keep Propally available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or improve features over time.

9. Liability

Propally is a management tool. It does not give legal, financial or tax advice, and you remain responsible for your leases, rental collections and legal obligations as a landlord or agent. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
